Earlier reports stated that OnePlus planned to launch its foldable phone in August. However, it appears that the release date has been delayed. This delay is said to be a result of OnePlus’ last-minute decision to abandon the BOE display and instead opt for Samsung panels.

The company has not officially disclosed many details about the folding handset, but they have assured customers that it will provide a “signature OnePlus fast and smooth experience.” The brand said in a statement that the new foldable OnePlus device will result in a seamless folding mechanism, minimal creases on the display, and a smooth software experience.

This setup will have a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel sensor with a periscope lens. The device is rumored to feature two front camera sensors, each with a resolution of 32 megapixels, specifically designed for capturing selfies. In contrast, the inside screen could be equipped with a 20MP selfie camera.
