Google is making waves in the Android world with the release of the Android 14 QPR2 stable update for Android, coupled with the March 2024 security patch. 1. Bluetooth Quick Settings Tile Enhancement: Users can now expand the Bluetooth Quick Settings Tile to view a list of up to three paired devices, along with the battery status. This feature brings back the ability to quickly switch between “Saved” accessories, offering improved convenience.

2. Audio Improvements: Android 14 QPR2 introduces an updated Pixel volume slider with a container for enhanced visibility. Additionally, when screen recording or casting, users now have the option to capture a “single app” instead of the entire display, although this comes with the trade-off of losing the ability to display touches.

3. Privacy Indicators: Microphone and Camera privacy indicators have been updated with a “Close this app” shortcut, providing users with more control and transparency over app permissions.

4. Weather Lockscreen Clock Update: The Pixel’s Weather lockscreen clock now prominently displays when an alarm or Do Not Disturb (DND) mode is active, offering users clearer information.

5. User Interface Tweaks: The update includes various user interface tweaks, such as a modified taskbar on large-screen devices like the Pixel Tablet, a two-line app name display in the Pixel Launcher grid, and refreshed icons and layouts in the App Info section.

6. Security Enhancements: The Android 14 March patch addresses 13 security issues as of March 1, and an additional 25 issues as of March 5, ranging from high to critical severity. Google emphasizes the importance of updating to the latest security patch for device safety.
