Instagram, the famous social media platform, is once again in the news as it is planning to release a new feature in its future updates. Yes, you read that right. The free photo and video-sharing app will soon have a new and exciting feature.

But that’s not it! Even now, Instagram is testing a new feature that would enable users to share other users’ profiles on their own Stories.
If you have an Instagram account, you must be aware of the ‘Story’ feature of it. This stunning feature was introduced in the year 2016. Since then, it has been one of the most used features. The reason behind its surge is its interactiveness. Yes, it allows users to share their stories on Instagram, which is owned by Meta (formerly Facebook).
These stories, however, disappear after 24 hours. Now, Instagram is considering a new feature that would enable users to share someone else’s Instagram profile on their Stories.
According to reports, Instagram is currently working on its upcoming feature that will enable users to share other user’s profiles on their Stories.
According to reports, this feature operates in a similar manner to the current “Add to Story” option. In the future, users will be able to showcase a different profile on their Instagram Story and encourage their followers to check out and follow that particular account or page.

A renowned developer Alessandro Paluzzi is the first to share information regarding the upcoming feature that Instagram is planning to add to its Stories. Paluzzi took to his X (formerly Twitter) account and shared a post along with a screenshot. The post reads: #instagram is working to add the ability to share someone else’s profile in #Stories on Android as well.
As per Paluzzi’s post, profiles shared as stories will now showcase the individual’s initial three posts along with details such as profile name and bio. According to Paluzzi, users will have the convenience of a ‘view profile’ button, which enables them to easily access the shared profile. It could be beneficial for new content creators on the platform to enhance their reach and attract more views.
Undoubtedly, the upcoming feature will provide users with the ability to enhance their reach and share the content of their favourite celebs or influencers on their stories.
However, the new feature is still in the development phase, and there are no reports of when users will be able to access the new feature. In such a situation, it is always recommended to wait and be patient until the company releases the new feature.
